Terms of use

Effective 12 October 2026.

Grandmaster Flash is a language-learning app operated by Disco Media Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the mobile app, its sync service, its assistant connector, Flash Free, and Flash Plus. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

Your account

What the service is for

Grandmaster Flash is for studying languages with flashcards and audio. You create and edit decks through ChatGPT, Claude, or another assistant you connect, and study them in the app. It is not a general file store, backup service, or audio host.

Suspension and termination

We may remove content, limit audio generation, suspend, or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or that we are required by law to act on. For clear or serious abuse we may act immediately and without notice; otherwise we will usually warn you first. We may report illegal content to the relevant authorities.

If we close your account for breaking these terms, you are not entitled to a refund from us for unused Flash Plus time; refund requests go to Apple. If we close an account for any other reason, or discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice where we can so you can cancel Flash Plus. If you think we made a mistake, email [email protected].

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account.

The service

We work to keep Grandmaster Flash available and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is and may change, have interruptions, or depend on providers such as Apple, our hosts, assistant providers, and ElevenLabs. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Flash Plus in the 12 months before the claim, or to supplying the service again.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
